The Craftsmen Training Scheme was introduced by the Government of India in 1950 to ensure a steady flow of skilled workers in different trades for the domestic industry, to raise quantitatively and qualitatively the industrial production by systematic Training, to reduce unemployment among the educated youth by providing them employable training to cultivate and nurture a technical and industrial attitude in the minds of the younger generation. The scheme, the most important in the field of Vocational Training, has been shaping craftsmen to meet the existing as well as future man power need through the wide network of ITIs in the various states in the country. GAAT Pvt. ITI, Murshidabad is one of the best institute among them in the state of West Bengal.
GAAT Pvt. ITI, Murshidabad is going to be upgraded in to Center of Excellence in Electro-Mechanical sector with socio – economic change, technical advancements and training need of industries located in India. It is hoped that the Institute Management Committee (IMC), staff of ITI, trainees and all those concerned industries dealing with us would continue to find and give useful co-operation for the quality training and success of this institute.
